A few things you should know about Care Pathways agencies…
Care Pathways agencies assist children and young people who are at risk of being taken into care, or who are already in the care of the Queensland Department of Communities (Child Safety Services). Our services include foster care and kinship care, residential care, semi-independent transition from care, assessment and intervention, and training. We also deliver specialised services to support the needs of the child safety sector.
The first Care Pathways service began in 1970, and we have grown to become one of the largest non-government providers of child protection services in Queensland. We are committed to high quality child protection, foster care services and foster carer training and support.
We support children and young people from a range of locations – from Townsville and Mount Isa in the north, down to the Gold Coast. A map of our service locations is below.
The service is part of Churches of Christ Care, a large not-for-profit organisation with over 130 services and agencies in Queensland in the areas of early childhood, child protection, affordable housing, retirement living and aged care services.
