Our foster carers are as different as the young lives they transform. There is no set ‘type’ of person who can become a carer. Many different kinds of people make good foster carers, but the most important qualities are the desire to help a child in need and the dedication to meet the challenges.
Our foster carers:
- Are both single or have a partner
- Range from in their twenties to their sixties
- Have their own children or no children at all
- Can be employed casually, part-time, full-time or not at all
- Take children permanently or just occasionally
- Care for children for just one night up to many years
If you have the desire to help children who are unable to stay at home with their parents and to provide them with the positive and inspiring support they need to blossom and live a fulfilling life, then becoming a foster carer may be the right decision for you!
